What's inside
Proprietary high-alkalinity concentrate (non-caustic), thickening agent, organic lemon oil, and 5% isopropyl alcohol as a preservative.
Spencer's Gel is pHenomenal Water carried in a medium that lets it sit on the skin instead of evaporating. If you are sensitive to isopropyl alcohol, pHenomenal Water in a fine-mist spray bottle is a common workaround, kept wet by reapplying.
How to use
Apply a thin layer to clean skin. Allow to dry. Because it is water-based, it goes on first, before any other topical or moisturizer. For deeper areas that will be dressed, use a non-absorbent covering so the gel stays put.
Safe for the most sensitive skin, and for children and pets. Use as part of your own skin ritual.
Why we made it this way
The story from the inventor: he watched a friend who had lived with rough, unhappy skin on his leg for two and a half years, and he could not stop turning the problem over. His logic was simple. If acidity was starving the surrounding skin, what would something extremely alkaline do if you placed it directly on the area?
He built the first gel, gave it to his friend, and three days later his friend called to say the skin looked completely different. He named it Spencer's Gel. It has been the same original formula since 2004.
