The neutral one, at 40 mg a capsule for fine control.

A calcium gluconate supplement, the calcium salt of gluconic acid, made from calcium carbonate and beet-sourced gluconic acid per Dr. Reams. Neutral pH, 40 mg of elemental calcium per capsule. 100 or 250 capsules.

  • ✓Neutral, not alkaline or acid-reacting. The pH-neutral member of the three calcium products we carry.
  • ✓Gluconic acid from beets. Made from calcium carbonate and beet-sourced gluconic acid, per Dr. Reams.
  • ✓40 mg of elemental calcium per capsule. Low on purpose, so a protocol can adjust calcium in small steps.
  • ✓Easily assimilated, and neutral about it. Calcium gluconate does not depend on stomach acid the way carbonate does, so timing is flexible.
  • ✓Bone, muscle, and nerve. Calcium supports bone strength and structure, normal muscle contraction, and nerve signaling.*

What's inside

Calcium gluconate. The calcium salt of gluconic acid.

Gluconic acid from beets. Made from calcium carbonate and beet-sourced gluconic acid, per Dr. Reams.

Neutral, not alkaline or acid-reacting. This is the pH-neutral member of our three calcium products.

40 mg of elemental calcium per capsule. Low on purpose, so a program can move calcium in small steps. Why we made it this way explains it.

100 or 250 capsules per bottle.

How to use

Take as directed on the label, or as specified by the program you are following.

This is a protocol-dose product. At 40 mg per capsule you are working in small increments, which is the point of it. One capsule is not a day's calcium and is not meant to be.

With or without food. The neutral organic acid form is flexible on timing.

Space it from iron, zinc, and thyroid medication. A few hours.

Why we made it this way

Calcium gluconate is a neutral, easily assimilated calcium salt, made from calcium carbonate and gluconic acid sourced from beets, the way Dr. Reams specified it.

The 40 mg per capsule is the thing to understand before you buy. That is a small amount, on the order of a few percent of a typical adult daily target, and it is low deliberately. A protocol that adjusts calcium in small steps needs a small step available. If you want a day's calcium in a few capsules, Cal-II at 1000 mg per six is the one to look at. If you want fine control, this is.

Its place in the line is pH. Cal-II is very alkaline, Cal-Lactate is more acid-reacting, Cal-Gluconate is neutral. We are not claiming this form outperforms the others on absorption, because the comparisons do not support ranking calcium salts that way and we sell all three of them.

About this product

Cal-Gluconate is a holistic wellness product. It is a dietary supplement providing 40 mg of elemental calcium per capsule as calcium gluconate. Calcium supports bone strength and structure, normal muscle contraction, and nerve signaling.* It is not a medical treatment. Results vary, and it is intended to be used at your own discretion as part of a broader healthy-living routine. Consult your physician before use if you have a medical condition or are taking medication.

Who reaches for it

People following a program that adjusts calcium in small increments.

Adults who want a pH-neutral calcium rather than an alkaline or acid-reacting one.

Anyone working with a practitioner who has specified calcium gluconate by name.

Cautions

Split the dose. The body absorbs calcium best in amounts of about 500 mg at a time. If your serving is larger than that, spread it across the day rather than taking it all at once.

Kidney stones or kidney disease. If you have a history of either, talk to your physician before starting any calcium supplement.

Separate it from other supplements and medication. Calcium can interfere with the absorption of iron, zinc, and some prescription medications, including thyroid medication and certain antibiotics. Leave a few hours between them.

Do not exceed the label. More calcium is not better, and total intake from food plus supplements is what counts.

Pregnancy and nursing. Consult your physician first.

For adults only. Consult your physician before use if you have kidney disease or a history of kidney stones. Keep out of reach of children.
