What's inside

Vitamin C, 200 mg per tablet. Entirely from acerola cherry juice concentrate. No synthetic ascorbic acid is added.

Acerola cherry (Malpighia emarginata). A tropical shrub also called Barbados cherry or West Indian cherry, native to South America, southern Mexico, and Central America.

What comes with it. Acerola naturally contains vitamins A, B1, B2, and B3 along with carotenoids and bioflavonoids. Those are in the fruit, so they are in the tablet.

100 tablets per bottle.

How to use

Take as directed on the label. Each tablet provides 200 mg of vitamin C.

With food. Vitamin C is water soluble and generally easy to take, and food smooths it out for anyone with a sensitive stomach.

Split it if you take more than one. Vitamin C clears steadily, so spreading tablets across the day holds levels better than taking them together.

Alongside Lemon C if you want both routes. Nature C is the whole-fruit source, Lemon C is ascorbic acid with lemon bioflavonoids at a higher milligram dose. Some people run one, some run both.

Why we made it this way

Acerola is a genuinely unusual fruit. USDA figures put it at about 1,678 mg of vitamin C per 100 g against roughly 53 mg for a raw orange, which is on the order of thirty times as much by weight. That is why it can carry a 200 mg tablet on fruit concentrate alone.

We want to be careful about what that does and does not mean. Natural and synthetic L-ascorbic acid are chemically identical, and the published work does not show whole-food vitamin C absorbing better. So this page is not going to tell you the vitamin C in this tablet works better than the vitamin C in a tablet of ascorbic acid, because that is not what the evidence says.

What is true is what comes along with it. Acerola carries vitamins A, B1, B2, and B3, carotenoids, and bioflavonoids in the fruit itself. Sourcing the vitamin C entirely from acerola juice concentrate means those ride along instead of being left behind. If you prefer your nutrients arriving in the company they keep in food, that is the reason to choose this one.

About this product

Nature C is a holistic wellness product. It is a dietary supplement providing 200 mg of vitamin C per tablet from acerola cherry, and it supports immune function, antioxidant activity, normal collagen formation, and a balanced stress response.* It is not a medical treatment. Results vary, and it is intended to be used at your own discretion as part of a broader healthy-living routine. Consult your physician before use if you have a medical condition or are taking medication.

Who reaches for it

Adults who would rather take a whole-fruit source than an isolate, understanding that the preference is about what else is in it.

People who find concentrated ascorbic acid harsh on the stomach.

Anyone building a food-sourced supplement shelf rather than a synthetic one.

Cautions

Stay under the upper limit. The tolerable upper intake level for vitamin C in adults is 2,000 mg per day from all sources. At 200 mg per tablet there is plenty of room, and there is no reason to go looking for the ceiling.

Kidney stones. If you have a history of oxalate kidney stones, talk to your physician before supplementing vitamin C.

Loose stool at high intake. The usual first sign of too much vitamin C. Back the dose down.

Iron overload conditions. Vitamin C increases iron absorption, so check with your physician if you have hemochromatosis.

Pregnancy and nursing. Consult your physician first.

Do not exceed 2,000 mg of vitamin C per day from all sources. Consult your physician before use if you have a history of kidney stones or an iron overload condition.
